The poem below is an old one, but I did want folks to know I'm alive and well, just busy. I don't write on "cue" so to speak, that is, I don't write WELL on "cue". So I can't conjure up something new at present due to the busy season's intrusions on my peace. Blessings to you at Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Time crept through that afternoon...
tired and dusty;
the cries of the hawks nesting in the woods,
the incessant sound of cicadas,
the chanting crickets,
all blended to intolerance...
became madness.

Quitely time slides on...
mesmerizing us all with it's intent.
Justice, injustice, love and hate
all intertwined with fate...
blurred with emotions,
saturated with light,
between the morning and the night,
life.
Stop now to see it.
Hold your breath,
do not move,
in stillness the truth is felt.
No dark blood,
no deep pain,
no sorrow can remain
within the balance.
Live.

Light falls through the forest
kaleidoscoped by leaf shadow.
Instinctual reverence takes my breath
and I worship in the brilliant sacredness.
I have heard the murmured praises of the wind,
the chorus of crow hymns,
the creek’s chant in response,
and overflowing, my heart bursts
with wind and wing and water.
In this sudden space of holiness,
time has ceased.
This moment is eternal.
